This was my first trip to CO in the Fall... and WOW, it was so unbelievably beautiful! We sure don't have colors like these at home. I was in love!
Brooklyn and my Dad visiting the horses at the neighbors. The baby on the left is Yankee who was born in July! Brooklyn loves him.
Brooklyn feeding the horses some hay.
Brooklyn and Grandpa by the neighbor's pond.
We spent an afternoon at the park. It was such a beautiful day and the kids had a blast.
Trenton was all over the place!
Brooklyn having fun on the slide.
Grandpa and Trenton. These two bonded while we were there. My dad was gone half the time hunting so Trenton was surrounded by women. He sure took to my dad when he came back.
Brooklyn and Bailee off running. My parents have about 5 acres of land and none of it is fenced in so kids and dogs have plenty of room to roam.
Siblings bonding over some bubbles. My Grandma thought it was so cute because Trenton ran around all day saying "Bubble, Bubble" when they were done. He was having fun!
Brooklyn looked up and told me she saw a shooting star. Haha... it was an airplane :)
One day she ran into the house and told my mom she needed seeds to plant in her garden. My mom handed her some carrots.
So, she planted carrots in the rocks.
She had forgotten where they were the next day so my Grandma helped her dig around until they found them! Silly girls!
We took Grandma for a ride on the Ranger and went around the back of one of the lakes.
Again, I was in awe of all the colors. So pretty!
Me and the kids in the back of the Ranger.
Trenton was real quiet and when I looked down, I noticed he was totally passed out!
But when we got home, he was ready for round two and off running again. This was his first trip to CO since he's been walking so I was wondering how he'd do with all the rocks and hills, etc. He was a champ. He was actually running and climbing and having a great time. When he'd fall, he'd just rub the dirt on his shirt and get back up!
We were having breakfast one morning and my Grandma looked out the window and saw a group of deer in our meadow. How cool is that?
Trenton's new trick. He wants to be big so bad like sister. He kept climbing up on the step stool to wash his hands or get a drink out of a little cup... And I kept laughing, he'd check himself out in the mirror, wave his hands and say "hi". I wonder who he thought was there!
Warming up with Grandpa after a cold ride on the quad.
He's just so cute. I can't get enough of him. Napping in the play pen. I do have to say, I was glad to come home and get him back on his normal schedule. He didn't sleep and nap for as many hours a day as he does at home. Too many distractions I guess.
The kids and I got sick the 2nd week on vacation. Not fun at all. And the weather got a lot colder and rainy so I wouldn't let the sick kids outside as much... Trenton was feeling cooped up and just stared out the windows longing to go out!
We had a great 12 days away. The only thing that would have made it better would be having Kurt with us. He was out of vacation time, but since I still have a few weeks remaining, we went on our own ;) That was the longest time the kids were away from their Daddy. They sure were happy to see him when we got home! And I was so proud of them... it's a 7-8 hour drive each way, depending on traffic and how many stops we make... and these kids did amazing! They only had about 10 min of fussy time each way. It would have been a LONG drive if they didn't cooperate so well. I have the best kiddos!
