Playing With Our Toys!

We took down the tree yesterday and Kurt started putting together all the new toys. The kids sure were having a good time. Trenton was even enjoying his new toys. He looks so serious watching this spinning sounds speedway.

And then, YEAY, this is cool :) He was so into it.

I tested out my new pancake griddle. We had happy cakes! Brooklyn thought they were so fun!
She asked for seconds :)

This is Brooklyn's new nursery stuff that she got from my brother and Heidi. She thinks it's so neat to have all the same stuff for her babies that we have for Trenton. She's such a little mommy so it's nice for her to have all the gear!

Trenton blowing raspberries at me... this is another of his favorite things to do. And yes, it includes the spit :) He's such a silly goose.

This isn't a new toy; it was Brooklyn's jumper. Trenton is such a good sitter so we thought we'd give it a try. He loves it! He even figured out how to push the buttons and make it sing all by himself. He really gets jumping in there too, which totally makes him laugh out loud. He'd much rather be upright than laying down, so this is perfect!

This was actually Brooklyn's birthday present from Kurt's mom, but we just put it together now that the tree is gone and we have room. She loves to make pictures and thought it was so cool that she could erase the chalk. She kept saying "Draw a picture, now it's gone". I was cracking up.

It's a messy toy and too big to put away, so we'll see how this goes. We have lots of hand washing in our future! She's having fun though, so that's all that matters. The other side is a dry erase board and has a paper roll that drops down so she can color and paint.

This was my big boy after he rolled over for the first time earlier this week. He was so proud of himself and keeps doing it again and again.

I had him laying in the center of this play mat last night and I looked over and saw him like this... all alone on the tile. He was really moving I guess. And again, look at that proud expression on his face.

Look at those muscles! Strong boy.

And oh so happy. What a wonderful addition to our family!

Brooklyn wanted to play on the mat the other day, but Trenton was already on it... so she said "Move Trenton" and went to pick him up by herself. I don't think she's ready for that yet, but it sure was cute!

They are constantly making me laugh. I love it!

Christmas 2010

What a busy fun time of year! We went to my parents' house on Christmas Eve to celebrate. This is the FIRST family picture I have of all four of us. I am slacking... Trenton is 4 months old already. We should have had a family picture by now!

This is my mom and dad's tree. Who says the economy is bad? Look at all those presents! Holy cow!

Brooklyn with her cousins, Sage and Tanner.

My brother and his beautiful family!

Santa brought this cool grill for Grandpa and Grandma Cook's house. The kids sure will have fun making dinner for us.

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care... Oops, we don't have a chimney at our house so this will have to do!

Our Christmas tree.

Brooklyn opening presents at our house Christmas morning. She sure knew what to do with those this year!

We went to Kurt's mom's house Christmas morning. Trenton needed a drink of milk.

So of course Brooklyn's baby needed a drink of milk too!

Brooklyn in her new Christmas dress in front of Kurt's mom's tree!

Brooklyn holding baby brother all by herself!

Kurt's mom got this cool roller coaster to keep at her house for the kids. Brooklyn LOVED it. She was flying! She didn't like going back in the house though. She would have played with this all day if we let her.

Trenton of course fell asleep in the car on the way to my Grandma's house.

And this is what I found unusual... Brooklyn fell asleep in the car too. She normally doesn't do that. She must have had a fun morning!

Opening presents at my Grandma's house!

Running off her cookies. Too bad I didn't have the video camera out for this... her running included a very high pitched squeal! She was having a good time!

Trenton dancing with my mom.

Brooklyn goofing off with my dad.

The boys running through the leaves in the neighbor's yard.

Brooklyn eating pecans off the tree that dropped all those leaves!

Great Grandma and Trenton were having some play time. I think Trenton was enjoying himself.

My uncle got out the chalk and outlined the kids in the driveway.

Since Tanner did it, of course Brooklyn needed to as well.

Checking out their bodies.

Playing in the back of Uncle Don's truck.

We celebrated on Sunday with Grandma and Grandpa Bucy. Here is Brooklyn opening her present from them!

And after everything was said and done... this is the aftermath under our tree... (and it's only what the kids got, I already put our stuff away).

We had a very Merry Christmas. Hope everyone else did too! Now it's time for a little relaxing and getting back into our normal daily groove. We've been pretty busy! :)

Twas the Week Before Christmas!

I can't believe it's Christmas time again. This year just flew by. Kurt started a tradition 5 Christmases ago of getting a new ornament each year for the tree that reflects something that happened in that year. This year the ornament is for Trenton's 1st Christmas. I found this at the mall and thought it was so cute!

We have a house full of sick Bucy's this week... All except for mommy! Trenton doesn't want to be laying down much because his head is stuffed up so Kurt pulled out the walker for him to try and sit in. It's still a bit big, but Brooklyn sure had fun testing it out!

This mat is still Trenton's favorite place to be. I always put him in the center and he pushes himself all over and spins around in circles ending up the opposite direction of where I laid him. And sometimes he gets himself all the way off the mat and ends up laying on the bare tile. Silly boy!

Brooklyn looking cute in one of the outfits she got for her birthday!

Trenton showing off his cool overalls.

I just LOVE this picture. Tanner cannot get enough of Trenton. He always wants to hold him and kiss him and hug him. They are too cute!

Christmas is right around the corner. I sure hope my family feels better by then... and that I don't catch it from them :)

Time to Meet Santa

The kids got to meet Santa and tell them how good they've been. Actually, Brooklyn told him "Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas." I was happy that they were both looking and nobody was crying. Last year Brooklyn was scared of Santa. I think she did OK this time because Santa was holding her brother first.

My cute kiddos...

Can you see the change from last year? Wow, my baby isn't a baby anymore. Good thing I have Trenton to snuggle.

We went to Bass Pro Shops. They give you a picture for free. It was actually a fun afternoon. There were a ton of kids wanting to see Santa, but they gave us a ticket with a time slot so we could walk around the store until it was our turn. They had free crafts for the kids and everything. We were way past naptime, but there was enough to keep Brooklyn occupied that it didn't seem to make a difference. It was fun for the whole family! Trenton slept most the time and Kurt got to look at guns/boats/fishing stuff/quads/etc. :)

More Pictures of the Kiddos

Trenton has been working on his motor skills. :) Giraffe is becoming his best friend. He gets his eyes set on him...

Reaches out and grabs his legs...

Then pulls him straight to the mouth. That's my boy!!!

He is such an easygoing baby. He knows what he wants, when he wants it, and as long as mommy is in tune with his schedule, it's smooth sailing! :)

My happy boy!

Talking to parrot this time. Don't tell giraffe, he might get jealous.

I was watering the grass the other day and caught a glimpse of color. When I looked closer, here's what I found. Too bad Brooklyn was napping, she would have loved to see a real ladybug.

Brooklyn coloring.

There was something next to the island the other day and she climbed up on it. I turned around and said "Woah, I'm not ready for you to be that big just yet." It was really weird to see her taller than the counter. She is growing up so fast!

I just had to include this one.... Major bed head and wearing mom's shoes with 3 inch platform heels. I love it!

These two are definitely keeping me busy. I just love being a mom!
