Baby Proofing Time.... Again!

This was about the age when we started baby proofing the house for Brooklyn. She would get into things and show us what needed to be done next as she grew. For the most part, our house is still pretty baby proofed. Now it's mainly just keeping Brooklyn's small toys away from Trenton.

This little guy is EVERYWHERE now! Hasn't figured out how to crawl yet, but this boy can move fast across the room. He's constantly finding new things to get into. Here he is trying to get inside the entertainment center.

Let's see if we can figure out what's inside Brooklyn's art supplies. They're not too high for me anymore!

Hmmm, if I reach up with both arms, I can get a good upper body workout! This is fun :)

Hey, these look like neat books on the shelf. If I pull on them, they fall down on me.

Makes them easier to read (or chew). And the best part is, when I pull them all down, my sister yells at me to put them back on the shelf! But do I listen? Nope, I think it's funny when she screams :)

What is this weird looking toy? I tried to taste it and mommy took it right away! Yucko! Bailee didn't seem to mind sharing with me though. (Grandma, this pic is for you... you're not the only one that let a baby get a hold of a rawhide... oops... guess it's time to put Bailee's toys away for a while again).

Sorry Bailee... there's no baby proofing you! I think you're always going to have kiddos coming at you from all angles. That's ok, it just proves you are loved!

Look at me getting into sister's kitchen. I like to open and close the bottom doors all by myself. And yes, this makes sister mad too! She sure doesn't like it when I touch her things.

Mmmm, so happy for dinner!

I could not resist posting this picture. Brooklyn came downstairs the other morning when she woke up. She told me she needed a dry diaper and took off her jammies. Yep, that's one wet diaper. It's falling right off! :)

Comparison from April 2010

To March 2011...

Yep, she's growing like a weed too! Time to get some new summer clothes since she's outgrowing the old ones.

Just a Couple Silly Gooses

There is always something fun and imaginative going on at our house these days. Brooklyn pulled a baby hat out when I was going through hand me downs for Trenton. She said Bailee wanted to wear a hat.

Then the next morning she started singing "Bailee wants to wear a hat, Bailee wants to wear a hat."

This dog is so patient with Brooklyn. They are best buddies! Bailee lets Brooklyn hug her, climb on her, pet her, dress her up in blankets, chase her around the house and whatever else she wants to do. Good girl Bailee!

Yep, she came to the table with sunglasses on. What a silly goose!

She took the little baby links and said it was her fishing line and she was catching fish.

Trenton showing off his blue jean diapers!

He's my happy boy!

I could just pinch these chubby cheeks!

Brooklyn having a "picnic" with her morning cartoons! Yumm!

It was laundry day and I ran out of jammies for Trenton so just pulled out the next size... 18 months. They are a tad big still, but fit him for the most part. He's a growing boy!

Always getting into sister's things. He looks around the room, gets up on his elbows to position himself in the right direction, then rolls to get it. Brooklyn does not like him messing with her stuff though.... or even his own things for that matter.

His tractor outfit. If you look close, he's showing off his two bottom teeth.

These kids are growing up too fast!

Playing in the Backyard

It has been so beautiful outside lately so we've been spending some time playing in the backyard. Today Trenton tried out his car. I wasn't sure if he was big enough yet, but he proved me wrong. He was loving it!

Holding on to the steering wheel with one hand and tasting fingers with the other. This boy is talented :)

Brooklyn was having a good time pushing him all over the yard. I was crossing my fingers Trenton wouldn't fall out. He's so good at holding himself up though so he didn't have any problems. If you look close at this one, you'll see his smile and his tongue sticking out!

I cannot get over his face and eyebrows on this one! It cracks me up. He was so happy playing outside.

Brooklyn pushed her slide in the middle of the patio and was doing tricks. Here is how you go down backwards and upside down! Silly girl.

Getting ready to hide in her play house!

When we came inside, I put Trenton on his mat so I could start dinner. He found Brooklyn's baby's bottle and was trying to eat it. Sorry buddy, that's fake milk.

This was yesterday. Brooklyn was playing peek a boo with me from the top of the stairs. I don't usually let her play on them because I don't want her to fall and crack her head, but she caught me in a good moment I guess!

She put her hood on and told me "I have to wear my hat to keep me safe and warm." Where does this girl come up with these things? Her vocabulary has really grown lately. She makes me laugh during a lot of our conversations.

We are having so much fun with this great weather. I hope it stays around for a while before the AZ summer kicks in! It doesn't matter how hot it gets though, Brooklyn always wants to go outside to play....
