Hanging Out With Daddy!

This is how I found Kurt and Brooklyn a few mornings ago:

They were watching cartoons and Brooklyn was munching on some cereal. Serious daddy/daughter bonding time I guess!

And while I was updating my post just now, I look over to see what Brooklyn is doing... and here is what I found so of course I grabbed the camera again.

She climbed up in her shopping cart. What a goofball. She's such a climber. No wonder she's always full of bumps and bruises.

She figured out how to get in, but not quite sure how to get out. She calls for me and as soon as I get her out, she climbs right back in again. That must be fun!

Silly Girl!

Brooklyn was playing with a paper towel the other day and decided it would be fun to stuff it down her shirt.

I guess she was trying to have a big belly like mommy!

She was so proud of herself too. She is such a goofball sometimes!

Testing Out My Green Thumb Again...

I had such good luck with my winter grass this year, I decided to keep up the yard for the summer too. This time we planted flowers. Brooklyn was a good helper!

She was trying to smell the flowers... Couldn't quite reach though.

I started out with gloves on, but it ended up being easier without them. I was scrubbing dirt out from under my nails all night.

We now have 5 flower beds full of flowers. The winter grass is dead now since it's been so warm, so we spread summer seed as well. Now hopefully I can get that to grow!

Pretty flowers!

Let's see if I can keep the yard nice during the heat that will soon be here.

Playing With Cousins

Last week we were hanging out at my parent's house and the kids were having a blast playing on the new slide.

This is my nephew and my cousin's daughter taking turns...

And of course Brooklyn was joining in on the fun.

What better way to end an afternoon of sliding than digging in the rocks!

I just had to include this one! We sat down to watch Toy Story with my nephew after putting Brooklyn down for a nap. I guess I make a pretty good pillow because we weren't 5 minutes into the movie and Tanner was passed out on me!

Brooklyn just loves her cousin and all the play time they have together. I bet she's going to love her baby brother too since she'll always have someone around to keep her company.

Easter 2010

This was my favorite picture of Brooklyn this Easter. She looked so pretty all dressed up!

We had lunch at the park with some friends the Saturday before. This little girl LOVED it. She could run around for hours!

We had an egg hung for the kids. There were a bunch of eggs on the ground for the babies and then really hidden for the older kids. The hunt hadn't started yet, but Brooklyn decided it would be fun to get a head start.

Of course she thought the bouncing animals were great!

Then when all the kids arrived and it was time for the egg hunt, Brooklyn didn't want anything to do with it. She decided to fill her bucket with dirt instead :)

Dying Easter eggs at home.

Brooklyn is still a bit young to actually help, so we gave her some plastic eggs to "help" with. She kept putting them on the plate to dry with the ones I was doing.

The finished product.

And Easter Bunny came to our house. He left animal crackers instead of candy! What a treat!

The look on Brooklyn's face when she first saw her basket Easter morning. What a cutie!

Checking out her loot.

All dressed up and ready to go to my Grandma's house.

My aunt brought a little table for the kids. I told the girls to look at the camera and of course Brooklyn had to shove a whole piece of cheese in her mouth first. Aren't you supposed to say "cheese" for the camera and not really eat it? :)

I have no idea what this face is for, but it was cracking me up.

We had another egg hunt. Only this time she was actually getting into it.

The kids found a swing in the neighbors yard and were checking it out. Right after I took this picture, cousin pushed the swing and it smacked Brooklyn right in the mouth. Ouch. She wasn't exactly standing in a great spot.

She found out there was candy in the eggs, but was more interested in the wrappers. That was fine with me.

We had another great Easter with the family.

Oh Boy! It's A Boy!!!!!

As much as I thought we were having another girl... I guess I was wrong again. I'm 0 for 2 now. My guess last time was boy when we had Brooklyn and she is obviously not a boy.

Here is my sweet baby. It looks like he has Brooklyn's nose.

Here he was hanging out upside down all curled up.

His foot.

And of course, a boy part. Didn't get too clear of a picture of that, but they were most certain he is a boy!

This angle is really weird, but it's another view of the boy part!

And here's me the morning of the ultrasound... 18 1/2 weeks.

We don't have a name for this little guy yet, but we have plenty of time to think about it. It may take us a while to agree on something!
We are so excited to be adding a boy to our family! Now Kurt won't be surrounded by all girls!

New Bike and Fun With Cousin

Helping Daddy
Brooklyn got a trike for Christmas from her Aunt, Uncle and Cousins and we put it away for a while so she would have something new this spring. Now that the weather is nice, we decided it was time to build it for her. She had to help daddy to make sure he did it right.

Oh what a happy little girl she was.

She loves her new bike. She is too small to reach the pedals, but she pushes it around with her feet. We can't keep her off it!

Here she had a big decision... Do I take my own cup, or cousin Tanner's, or mommy's water?

She loves playing with her cousin. Tanner was pulling her around my parents' backyard in the wagon.

It was hard work. He got tripped up a few times!

What a good cousin he is to help out Brooklyn. She was getting a free ride.

They both love playing outside! And what better time of year for them to do it!
