32 Weeks... And Counting!

I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is flying by! Thankfully, it has been easy like my other two! I have just been very tired lately, and not getting much sleep at night since my hips are aching. Not too much to complain about though :)

I had another Dr. appt this week and they scheduled my c-section for Wed. APRIL 11th! It's all becoming real now. Only this time I don't feel as prepared since I don't know if it's a girl or a boy, don't have a name picked out, don't have to set up a nursery, haven't washed all the clothes, haven't been shopping for the baby, etc...

I know everything will come together... I'm just getting anxious to become a family of five :)

Here's my 32 week belly! I am really starting to feel huge, and then I remind myself I still have 7 weeks to go! I can do this!!!

Brooklyn still says she has a "Brooklyn Baby" in her tummy just like Mommy. She's so cute! She wanted her belly picture taken too. I have a new baby doll to take to the hospital when I have the baby so she can have her baby too!

I know this last 7 weeks is going to pass quickly. Kurt and I have started doing some early Spring cleaning to get ready. I want to have everything in order before the baby comes since I'll have 6 weeks of recovery afterward... So far, it's going well :)

Rough Week!

This week started out like any other... Fun times! The kids painted pictures, made Valentine's cards for Daddy, had a picnic lunch, etc... LOTS of play time.

Trenton was enjoying painting! He was concentrating pretty hard on his picture :)

He isn't as "neat" of a painter as his sister. He had it everywhere! It was so cute!

Brooklyn did a very nice job. She likes to keep it all on the paper. And she covered EVERY inch of this paper. Kurt came out of his office and caught us. She says "Look Dad, I'm making you a valentine". Oops, spoiled the surprise.

My happy boy having some milk before bedtime...

And then Wed/Thur hit and my happy/healthy children were nowhere to be found...

Trenton ended up getting a really bad eye infection. Green goop draining from both eyes and he'd wake up with them completely glued shut. And to top it all off, he had a fever of 102.7 and a bad cold too. He was miserable! Although he did handle it very well. He's my laid back, easy going guy.

He looked so pitiful. I felt SO bad for him!

Then 2 days later, Brooklyn caught the eye infection so I took her to the Dr right away. She also caught the cold and had a fever of 102.5. She is not so easy going. She turns into a very sad little girl when she's not feeling well.

She's not sick in this picture... but sure looks cute anyway.

On Tuesday, Trenton had his surgery to fix a clogged tear duct. I was a little worried that it would be postponed since he had been sick a few days earlier, but he reacted well to the antibiotics and we got the green light to go ahead with surgery. Yeay! Otherwise it would have been another 2 month wait.

I wasn't sure what to expect with the surgery and how he was going to react, but as it turns out, the hardest part of the whole thing was having to wake up at 5am. But seriously, he was such a trooper. He didn't complain that I woke him up, he didn't complain that he couldn't have any food/drink, he didn't complain that we drug him out of the house that early... He is so laid back!

Car ride in the dark. I sure am glad I don't have to do that on a daily basis. Isn't he in good spirits for being so early?

We got all checked in to the surgery center, filled out the paperwork, etc. He got to play in the pre-op area for quite a while. He was actually having fun even though it was so early. They took him from us at 7:00am and Kurt and I went to the waiting room. At 7:10, the surgeon came out and said all went well. 7:15 we went to the recovery room as Trenton was waking up, and by 7:30, we were in the truck on the way home! Seriously, it was that fast!!!!

Trenton took his monkey with us and monkey got a matching hospital band. The only time that Trenton even complained about anything (other than when they took him from me) was when he wanted his band off in the truck and I didn't have any scissors. He wasn't in any pain at all. I was so relieved.

He ran around the house playing like nothing even happened. It didn't bother him one bit. He came home and took a 4.5 hour nap though! He was a little tired here, but that was the worst of it! I am so thankful everything went well.

Brooklyn, on the other hand, took a turn for the worse while Trenton was having surgery. She kept complaining about her ears while she was staying with my parents so I took her back to the Dr when Trenton was done. Her eye infection wasn't better and she now had an ear infection too! I guess when it rains, it pours. We had 4 Dr visits for the kids in less than a week.

Day after surgery and you can't even tell anything is wrong with this boy. He is such a trooper!

I am ready for both kiddos to be completely healthy again! It is very draining on Mommy when both the kids are sick! Especially a pregnant mommy :) So far, it looks like they are on the mend though! Yeay!

Colorado Vacation in the Snow!

We just took our annual Winter vacation to play in the Colorado snow! And what a fun trip it was!!!! It was my parents, Kurt and I and the kids, my brother, his wife and their kids, my sister in law and her husband, and my mother in law. Yep... that's 9 adults, 4 kids and 4 dogs all in one house! It was a blast! It was the kind of chaos that makes me glad to be part of a big family. We had so much fun!

There wasn't as much snow this year as there usually is, but enough for the kids to have fun. This was actually the first year that Brooklyn enjoyed the snow! I was so happy that she had a good time.

Here she is doing some sort of dance and shaking her booty... I think she was trying to get the snow off her.

Practicing sledding on a small hill before tackling the big one. Last year she wanted nothing to do with this at all... This year, we couldn't keep her out of it!

All the dogs liked to eat the snow so Brooklyn kept shoveling it in front of them and saying "Here's your food... EAT"

Trenton is all boy. I wasn't sure how he was going to react to the snow since Brooklyn never liked it... But he took right to it. He didn't care if he got cold or wet. He would actually get mad if someone went outside and didn't take him along. He had so much fun!

All bundled up. He reminded us all of the little boy in that movie "Christmas Story". He looked so cute!

Tanner and Brooklyn sledding down the bigger hill out front. We love having a sledding hill right at the house so we don't have to drive anywhere.

Brooklyn would go down the hill as many times as she wanted, but NEVER carried her sled back up. Tanner is such a good cousin though, he always helped her! Either that or Mommy and Daddy had to chase after it for her! She sure knows how to work the system!

These two are just the best of friends. I love that my kids have cousins they are close to. Tanner was showing her how to play games on their ipad.

One of the neighbors let the kids ride their pony. They thought that was a real treat!

This ear to ear smile says it all. She was having such a good time!

Trenton wanted in on the action too. I just let him sit there for a minute though instead of taking an actual ride. Didn't know if Brooklyn would be able to hold on to him if he slipped.

Grandpa helped make a snowman for the kids.

Kurt and I (with the help of the kids) made an "igloo". It turned out more like a snow fort, but hey... it was pretty cool!

Sage and Brooklyn in the fort.

Tanner, Brooklyn and Trenton playing in it. I was so sore after building this thing... Next year, when I'm not pregnant, Kurt and I are going to make a HUGE one!

Trenton thought he was pretty tough picking up the leftover snow bricks.

I love this picture. We were all sitting around the kitchen table playing games one night and Tanner fell fast asleep in my brother's lap. This kid can fall asleep anywhere. Mine don't do that! They keep going and going until I send them to their beds!

Finally! Right before we left a nice little snow storm came in and dropped about 6 inches in the night! It was so pretty to wake up to this!

There's just something about fresh snow in the trees that is absolutely beautiful!

Trenton wanted to sled on his own, but I was afraid he'd get going and get scared or fall off and I wouldn't be able to run my pregnant booty fast enough to save him...

So Brooklyn helped him out. They weren't actually moving in this picture, but they sure were having fun! I love these two!

Kurt made a little snow chair in the fort for Trenton. He played on this thing for hours (sitting/standing/climbing).

Brooklyn said this was her castle and she was the Queen.

And this was the "Queen's" bed for sleeping. She's such a goof!

We had a wonderful time! Even the drive wasn't bad. I think the kids are used to it because out of 7.5 hours in the car each way, they are usually only cranky for about 15-20 min! I can definitely handle that. Our next trip will include another family member. Can't wait to take Little One up there too!

I love being able to share these vacations with my family... We are making such fun memories!
