My Little Ham

Trenton has been crawling up on his knees more often, but his position of choice is still the army crawl. He has mastered that over the past couple months and is pretty dang quick.

Oh, you have the camera out? Let me give you a big smile...

Yep, I'm pretty cute. Let me sit here and twiddle my thumbs for you :)

Now I'm going to get this chair.

Oh, you have the camera out again? Let me get it.

Wait, there's another chair. I think I'll move this one around.

Oh, there's the camera again.... I'm going to get that instead! (Notice his left leg bent up in the air.... this is how his army crawl works... one foot up and pushes off with the other... and it's always the same leg in the air. He cracks me up).

Nope, mommy won't let me have it, but here's another chair. I'll push it instead.

Hey, there's the camera... I'll pose again.

Now I'll go to my play house for a while. But first, let me smile for that camera.

Yep, he's my little ham! Show me that grin buddy!

It's That Time of Year Again.... Water Time!

It's getting hot out and my friend was bringing her twins over for a play date at our house... so what does that mean? We needed a new pool for the backyard! Brooklyn had to check it out first.

They thought it was pretty neat! The hose attaches to it and drips water from the palm tree.

Bailee thought it was pretty cool too and kept trying to catch the water in her mouth!

The twins thought it was fun getting splashed from the tree.

The boys were swimming while Brooklyn caught grass in the bucket and cleaned out the pool. Yes, she's my prissy girl. That's why the tarp was underneath... to reduce the amount of grass in the water.

The twins were having fun in Brooklyn's play house!

We had such a good time with our friends. After they left and Brooklyn napped, we decided to go back out and play some more! She said the water fountain was tickling her.

Bailee must have thought it was an over-sized water bowl because she kept drinking it!

Let me out! I want to play too!!! Poor Trenton... He liked the big pool, but this one was still too cold for him. He started crying as soon as his feet touched.

She likes to drink the water too.

I'm FREEZING Mommy!

Since we had so much fun playing in the water on Saturday, we decided to do it again today. This time we got the sprinkler out too!

And then Mommy put the sprinkler on the slide and turned it into a water slide!

This is fun.

Bailee was playing lifeguard. Or maybe she was just the guard dog. Who knows...

I love to slide :)

We had a picnic lunch outside. I didn't want to drag out the highchair, so Bumbo chair did the trick!

Mmmmm, Daddy makes good picnic lunches for me!

Looks like we have a lot of water fun in our future! This ought to keep us cool as it keeps getting hotter and hotter out this summer.

Fun in May!

Every time I went to update last week, blogger was down... so here it goes!

Trenton LOVES to read his books.

OK, he loves to look at the pictures! Not quite ready to read yet :)

And he really LOVES to snuggle this monkey during naptime.

Brooklyn's "choo choo track". She was so proud of this. She kept driving Trenton's train and cars over the track.

Big boy started climbing on his own a couple weeks ago. We had to lower the crib mattress. He's on his knees here, all the way up would have dumped him overboard.

He thought he was so funny crawling underneath his jumper. I have a picture exactly like this from when Brooklyn was a baby.

Brooklyn found Kurt's socks laying around, so put them on with her shoes. They're a tad big sweetheart!

She has been letting me do more fun things with her hair... and it's finally long enough to cooperate! Too bad it doesn't stay this pretty all day. After a few hours she pulls it all out :(

This made me laugh... reminds me of those undie jogs they do at some colleges! :) It seems lately she is happy stripping all her clothes off. Too bad mommy makes her put them back on!

They both had to crawl through the door of the play house at the same time...

Brooklyn was "vacuuming" with her own makeshift vacuum. And yes, those are snow boots on her feet. She has been obsessed with them lately and wears them on a daily basis. Kurt told her "nice shoes" and she quickly corrected him... "Those are not my shoes, they are my snow boots"

Say aaaw Trenton. I have to be careful with these two. She is always wanting to feed him, but doesn't understand that he can't have her snacks too. Last week I found cashews in his carseat. Good thing he didn't try and eat those.

Brooklyn and her art project. She LOVES to paint.

She made caterpillars to give to the Grandma's on Mother's Day.

And ladybugs too. Mommy helped her finish them off... she did all the painting herself.

Brooklyn made this for me in church on Mother's Day. So cute! I'm glad I got a picture of it because she took it off the fridge and her and Trenton ended up playing tug of war with it. I think Trenton won.
