Water Fun

So, what do you do to stay cool in the hot AZ summer?  Play in the water of course!!!

Trying to catch water in a bucket from the sprinkler in our backyard.

Running in her cute swimsuit.

This boy knows how to have fun!

She tripped over the hose in the running picture above and landed in the rocks.  There was blood on her knee so she had to wash it off in the water.

Filling Trenton's bucket with water...

Then stealing it to throw on him :)

Bailee was just trying to soak up some sun, but she kept getting squirted and buckets of water dumped on her too.  I tried to catch that in action, but missed.

The first swim of summer in Grammy's pool.  I have a feeling we'll be spending a lot of time there!  The kids loved it!

Testing out the floaties.  I think next time we'll take those off and see if we can start teaching her how to actually swim!

Trenton didn't want to be held in the pool, he wanted to be on his own.  He compromised with the float.

Uncle Derrik showing Brooklyn how to kick.

Madison spent swim time napping on the couch.

And of course Grandpa and Grandma are good about setting up pools for the kids to play in too.  If you look close, Tanner is doing a cool trick on this one.  He was doing summersaults down the slide into the water.  I'm surprised nobody has been seriously hurt yet.  They all do tricks, including Trenton.

The kids don't care how hot it gets, they always want to play outside.  Mommy doesn't like to stay out there long though.  It's getting too hot for me!

Cute Kiddos

Here are a few random pictures I've taken this month that just make me smile!

A friend of ours from church makes the BEST chocolate lava cake in the crock pot... I think Trenton agrees :)  As soon as he licked his bowl clean he brought it back saying "More cake, more cake, more cake".  How could we resist that face?

What a sweetie!  She's holding onto her binky while taking a nap on the couch.  She LOVES the binky just like Brooklyn did.  Trenton never did care for it.

I laugh at this every time.  You have to look close to see.  Brooklyn has a stethoscope from her doctor kit wrapped around her waist.  She says it's her "tail".  She was walking around on all fours shaking her tail :)

Baking cookies with Grandma.  She kept having to taste the dough... and of course we all had to taste the cookies when they were done.  They did a good job!  Brooklyn loves to help in the kitchen no matter what we're making!

Whatever I do with Madison, Brooklyn has to do with her baby Allison.  Here is feeding time.  The girls needed their milk.  Is this what it would be like having twins?  :)

Madison with her big bow on our way to church.  Those things are not very practical, but she looked so darn cute.

Big stretch!  She's finally starting to chunk up.  I'm not used to having a little baby so it's nice to see some rolls on her :)  I just love her big blue eyes.

Madison has been smiling like crazy lately.

I can't help but smile back :)

I just love this sweet little face!

These two just love her too!  They can't keep their hands off her!  EVER!

Getting too hot to go outside and play for long periods of time so we've been coming up with other things to keep us occupied.  This was art day.  They drew with chalk for hours!

And my big boy looks even bigger with his new summer haircut!  I was so tired of the rooster tail that was always sticking up in back, so it all got buzzed off.  He looks so stinking cute!  Wasn't sure how he was going to look, but his hair grows so fast anyway so we took a chance.  I love it on him!

Now hopefully I have shared a smile with you too!  I just love being a mom and especially being home with these cute kiddos. It just makes my day to be able to capture all these moments.

May has Come and Gone...

I can't even believe how fast time is flying these days.  With Madison being our last baby, I was hoping it would slow down a bit... but no such luck.

I LOVE this picture of her.  I didn't do professional baby pictures this time around, but needed something for her birth announcement so I took my own.  She is such a cute subject to work with!

It sort of looks like she's smiling in this one!

So far, she likes to be held the most.  She doesn't care much for the swing, and will only stay in the bouncer chair for short periods of time.  Lately she's been liking the play mat though!

Boys can play dollhouse, right?

Look at that crazy hair!  All our babies were born with hair, but Madison was the first one to actually keep hers!

Big brother still loves her and can't keep his hands off!

Busted!  He can't leave the baby toys alone either...

Helping a crying sister get her binky...  That's nice of you buddy, but it's upside down.

Spending the last of the good weather riding bikes with the neighbor kids.

This is how Madison enjoys outside time... snuggled with Mommy in the Bjorn :)

Bike riding turned into playing in the hose.  Trenton was loving it.

Brooklyn, not so much.  She was crying because she was wet and needed dry clothes.  She's such a little drama queen.  She loves playing in the water if she has a swimsuit on... but I guess clothes aren't supposed to be wet....  Hmmmm.

Madison and Allison sharing a nap on the couch.  Brooklyn is such a good momma to Allison and she has to do everything I do with my baby :)  So cute!

We've been having "movie night" after baths to calm down before bed.  This was a special night with popcorn.  They had fun!

We are slowly, but surely, adjusting to our family of five!  As much as I don't want the time to fly by so fast, I can't wait until Madison is a bit older so we can get out and do more things.  The other kids are feeling a little cooped up lately.  Our adventures have been few and far between these days since I have my hands full with a newborn.
