Diaper Duty!

I looked down yesterday and Brooklyn was trying to change her own diaper. It was cracking me up!

At least she knows where they're supposed to go! She just kept telling me "diaper, diaper". I guess she needed to be dry.

I have no idea what this face is, but she's been doing it all the time lately. What a goof!

We just got back from a weekend trip. We stayed with a good friend of mine. Brooklyn kept getting up into my bed saying "sleeping" and would cover herself all up. Maybe this is a good thing since she's getting her own big girl bed next month.

Being silly on her slide. She doesn't get much outside time these days since it's getting too hot for mommy!

She made "soup" this morning on her play kitchen and was showing it off for me.

She is always so silly. I just love this little girl :)

Play Date with the Twins!

A friend of mine has twin boys who are 3 months younger than Brooklyn. We had a fun play date with them the other day.

Here are the kiddos playing in the pool. Brooklyn is showing off one of the cool frog toys!

Busy kids...

They sure were all happy in the pool :)

Brooklyn loved the flower that splashed! I guess it felt good on her foot.

I put her down for a nap in my friend's room and it was real quiet for a while... then we kept hearing her talking and stuff banging around so decided to go check on her. This is what we found!

She unloaded the entire diaper cart that was nearby into the bed. What a goose! No wonder she was having a hard time taking a nap... there wasn't any room left in the bed for her!

We sure had fun playing with friends!

Andy & Heidi's Wedding

My brother and Heidi were married June 12th at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas.

Brooklyn striking a pose!

Tanner and Brooklyn hanging out before the wedding.

Andy and Tanner. They both looked so handsome all dressed up in their tuxes!

Come on Brooklyn, I'll show you the way.

These two are so cute, always walking hand in hand. Best cousin friends!

Kurt with his mom and sister.

This is the front of the chapel in the Paris hotel.

The ceiling in the chapel. It was so beautiful.

Some of the guests.

Tanner and my dad. This was taken just before the wedding started. Tanner had lost all his smiles and was nervous. He didn't want to walk down the aisle.

My brother awaiting his bride!

The rest of these pictures were taken by my uncle. He has a better camera and didn't have a little girl occupying his time. Thanks Don for letting me steal them!

The ceremony... (no flash photography allowed so they look a little yellow)

Wedding vows.

With this ring, I thee wed...

You may kiss the bride...

I now pronounce you husband and wife.

Mr. and Mrs. Cook!

The wedding party (minus Tanner... he was done with pictures for a while).

With my parents.

My brother and his family...

Four generations of Cook's.

Me, Kurt and Brooklyn.

Heidi and Tanner. So sweet!

They had a buffet dinner reception at Planet Hollywood. It was so good. Here is the best man giving the toast to the newly married couple.

I couldn't hear everything he was saying, but it was funny. Bride and groom got a good laugh.

Brooklyn was toasting with her juice!

Cutting the cake. And yes, they were nice and there was no cake smashing in the face!

Me waiting to sign the guest book. My uncle thought we could use a profile pic of my big belly I guess.

Tanner being a "cool dude".

It was a really nice ceremony. I am so happy to welcome Heidi into the family (officially) as my sister in law. I wish my brother a long and loving marriage!

Vegas Vacation

It seemed easier for us to drive to Vegas, rather than fly with all the things we needed for Brooklyn. My Grandma and Uncle rode with us. Here we are stopped for lunch in Kingman on Thursday.

In the hotel room getting ready for the day on Friday. Brooklyn needed a pretty ponytail. She doesn't even fight me anymore when I do her hair.

Brooklyn and Tanner hanging out in the room.

We walked down to The Mirage to see the dolphins and tigers. This is how Sage and Brooklyn walked together, hand in hand. So cute!

Pretty waterfall in front of The Mirage.

Brooklyn LOVED the dolphins. She actually got mad when we tried to leave because she wanted to get in the water and pet them. Silly goose.

She thought it was pretty cool looking through the glass under water. She kept knocking on it telling the dolphins to come here.

Brooklyn also loved looking at the tigers.

Ch-Ch-Ch-Chia! This guy looked like a giant chia pet!

Our family:

After the dolphins and tigers, it was way past naptime so we went back to the hotel. This is how Brooklyn woke up... major case of bed head!

Sorry sweetie, I don't think combing it will fix this one!

Friday night dinner. Brooklyn was playing peek a boo with her napkin. Where did she go?

Boo! Right here :)

Tanner was having fun tickling her all weekend too. She gives out a good giggle so it amuses both of them.

There wasn't a lot of things for her to do in Vegas. Her favorite thing was to play in the hotel room. We had adjoining rooms with my Grandma so Brooklyn was able to run back and forth. Here she is hiding in the bathroom.

And hiding under the sink. She is so silly.

This is the new bridge they are constructing at Hoover Dam.

All in all, we had a great vacation, but I can tell you one thing for sure... we're not going back with kids any time soon. There wasn't a whole lot to keep Brooklyn occupied and she was restless when she just had to sit still. But of course she had to be a part of my brother's wedding!
