Happy 4th of July

Happy Fourth of July! We spent it "Colorado Style" except this year fireworks were banned because of the dry hot weather so we couldn't fire off our own show like we normally do. We had probably hundreds of fireworks in the garage that went to waste. Maybe next year!

The rest of the family all decked out! We drove into Cortez to see the city firework show. It wasn't the same as being home, but we sure had a good time.

Brooklyn thought it was pretty neat. They changed colors and made a wonderful noise.... Kurt wants to know if he can use a screwdriver to disconnect the sound.... haha

My camera has a cool fireworks setting so I got some neat shots.




When we got home, Tanner and Brooklyn had to say goodnight to Firecracker, the crawdad Tanner found in the creek. They also fed him hot dogs. I guess he makes a good pet. Brooklyn doesn't want to touch him though because "He'll pinch her tiny finger and make her cry". That's my girl :)
