We've had a pretty busy, but fun week! Last weekend we went to the Ostrich Festival in Chandler. I hadn't been in a while and Kurt had never gone so we checked it out. It was a beautiful day for it too. Here's one of the ostriches looking at us...
Here's part of the crowd (and this was only by the food court area). It was SO busy.
We sat in the grass and watched some live music while we had a snack and Brooklyn had a bottle. Our stroller made a nice shady spot for the baby.
Brooklyn got her diaper changed in the grass and thought that was so funny. She was making all sorts of cute faces at her daddy!
Daddy's girl...
There was a cool fire truck painted like the American flag.
Brooklyn was having such a good time checking everything out.
We saw some cool tricks.
And of course the ostrich races. This is kind of hard to see, but the jockey's are on the ostriches backs and racing them around the track. It was funny!
Then Tuesday was St. Patrick's Day (and Brooklyn turned 4 months old). I had a green theme throughout the day. We had green bagels for breakfast. Sandwiches with green lettuce and cucumbers for lunch. Pasta salad with green celery and peas for dinner. And of course a St. Patty's day cake. Yummy!
Brooklyn had green on her clothes, a green binky, and green toys that she played with. Oh, and she ROLLED OVER for the first time too. She was playing on her mat and I rolled her over for some tummy time. Before I knew it, she had rolled back over all by herself and was staring up at me. Her eyes were all big like she didn't know what happened. I made a big deal out of it and was clapping so she started smiling. She hasn't done it since, but hey, SHE DID IT!!!!!
I just had to throw these in. Brooklyn loves to snuggle up with anything soft when she takes a nap. She rubs it over her face and eyes and just falls fast asleep.
More snugglies in her face makes for great nap time.
Wednesday we spent the whole afternoon at the AZ Science Center. I didn't really take many pictures, but we had a good time. They had a bed of nails there. If you touch them when the nails are up, they are poky and sort of sharp. But when you lay down and spread your weight across a bunch of them, they don't hurt at all. I tried it out and the nails lifted me. It felt really weird, but it didn't hurt.
