The first day we were there Brooklyn was a bit cranky since she was up most the night when we were driving to CO. At dinner time she was throwing a fit because she wanted my mom's blanket, so of course Grandma spoiled her and wrapped her in a blanket in the high chair and gave her bunny while she ate. Only Grandma can get away with that!
Here she was trying to escape through the dog door and go play in the snow.
Boots on and ready to go.... wait, those are Grandma's boots!
Brooklyn looked so stinkin cute in her snow suit. It was a baby shower gift last year and a bit too small, but we made it work because she looked adorable! She wasn't too sure what to think about the snow, but I think she had fun!
She didn't like falling though because it made her hands cold.
She loved walking on top of the snow!
But man, she did not like falling down. My dad scolded me for stopping to take this picture instead of rushing to get her. I couldn't help myself. Even when she's mad, she's still cute!
We went to the neighbors house to feed the horses.
Brooklyn had to pet them.
There was so much snow! About 3 feet on the ground when we got there, and another foot or two dropped while we were there. It was so pretty!
This is what my truck looked like one morning when we woke up.
Then we cleaned it off to drive somewhere and later that day, it looked like this...
We went sledding down the meadow in front of my parent's house. It wasn't really steep, but we had a nice super slick sled that still went fast. It was fun!!!
A nice tasty dinner for the dogs... oh wait, that's Brooklyn. She's so silly.
One afternoon we were out on the quads and my mom stayed in with Brooklyn. When we pulled up around the back of the house I look up and Brooklyn is crawling through the dog door singing to us. She didn't want to be left out.
One evening we hung out at the neighbor's house and played pool. Their kids kept Brooklyn busy all night. It was a nice break for me!
We were so excited to be able to make a snowman this year, since there wasn't enough snow last year. Kurt started rolling the base.
And we all came out to help. Even my mom got in the action when we started decorating him.
The finished product! He was so big! I don't think I've ever made a snowman that big before. We put two faces on him so the neighbors could see him from the road and we could see him from the house.
We kept trying to get Brooklyn to say snowman, but she named him "man-ny" instead. All week we would ask her where her snowman was and she'd find a window to look out at him.
Walking in the snow. She actually left her mittens on this time.
She was having so much fun walking up and down the sidewalk path.
