4 Weeks Old

It's hard to believe Madison is already 4 weeks old!  It seems like all I've done the past 4 weeks is work on feeding this little girl.  She lost over a pound and a half the first week and it feels like we've been playing catch up ever since.  She has FINALLY gotten back up to her birth weight this week so we can stop weight checks at the Dr. office.  Hopefully she will continue to gain now!  Feeding her has definitely been a full time job!  The funny part is that she's still not as big as the other 2 were at birth and she's a month old already!

She sure looks pretty in yellow!

Trenton used to sleep like this all the time too.... the "field goal" position :)

Trenton cannot get enough of her.  I have to watch him because he's not always gentle.  Every time he sees her he says "Hi Maddi" or "Hi Madson"  He's getting really close to saying her name the right way.  Brooklyn is quite the little mommy too.  I guess I don't have a picture of that.  She's always putting the binky in Madison's mouth, giving her baby toys, hugging and kissing her, petting her, and telling Trenton to go away because she's just a tiny baby and he needs to be gentle!  She's so funny :)

He can't keep his hands off her either.  He's always "petting" her or poking her.  And he LOVES to pinch her hands and feet in the carseat since his is next to hers in the truck.  He's having a hard time realizing that she's still too little to play rough.

Yes Trenton, that's her eye.

This is what makes me laugh the most.  Every day he leans in as close to her as he possibly can get until she moves her arms or feet and touches him... then he leans back with a huge grin and says "chin" or "mouth" or "ear" or wherever it was that she touched him.  He thinks it's the neatest thing!

Trenton has had an obsession with this hat lately.  He wants to wear it all day and night.  I came upstairs from feeding Madison one morning and found him in the loft reading a book with his hat on just after waking up.

She's starting to get used to the bouncer chair.  Still prefers to be held though :)

She enjoys bathtime much more after her umbilical cord fell off and she can take a real bath!

My Grandma's birthday was this week.  We went out to lunch at Red Lobster to celebrate, then went back to her house to enjoy the yummy chocolate cake I made.  Here she is with a few of her great grandkids.

Brooklyn and Bailee were having fun together.  I love the look on Bailee's face in this picture.  She is in dog heaven!

I am healing nicely from my surgery and adjusting to having 3 kids now.  I sure have my hands full at the moment since newborns are so needy... but soon enough things will start falling back into place and we can work on getting everyone back on some sort of schedule.  For right now, I'm just soaking up all the baby love I can get.  I know Madison is going to grow up far too fast anyway, so I may as well enjoy this time now!
